About Me At Paw Genius Dog Training
Paw Genius Dog Training is run by myself, Rebecca Poole. As a fully certified dog trainer accredited by the Dog Trainer College, a listed Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor and recognized on the Find A Dog Trainer Website, I am regularly vetted and monitored to guarantee that I am fully insured and consistently updating my training (currently with the IMDT).
I am also a volunteer speaker for the Blue Cross. In this role I attend local schools and conduct assemblies on safety around dogs and run class room workshops on Pet care. By teaching children about responsible pet care not only does it improve the life of any animal in their care but also the bond the child can build. With dog bites on the increase teaching children dog safety is something I feel passionate about. If we can teach children not all dogs want to be friends, basic dog body language, appropriate interactions and how to react in certain situations not only can we hopefully prevent the child getting hurt but also the dog being surrendered/rehomed with bite history or destroyed. Through this role I also hold an enhanced DBS check.
My commitment is to constantly expand my knowledge and comprehension of canine behaviour and their learning processes, enabling me to assist them in every possible aspect to thrive in our homes. I am passionate about nurturing the relationship between a dog and its owner, guiding both towards mutual understanding and harmonious living.
My passion for animals began in childhood with small pets and family dogs, and grew as I worked on farms and in stable yards, eventually leading to owning and competing with my own horse. But it's my love for dogs and the unique bond we share that inspired me to become a dog trainer. My goal is to assist and guide you towards the most rewarding relationship with your dog, ensuring you both cherish life together.
